Dynamic Painting Workshop: The Costumed Model September 24 & 25 Taught by Susan O'Reilly 10:00am - 1:00pm $110 members, $120 non-members To register, contact the UCAL office. Philadelphia artist, Susan O’Reilly, will lead the Dynamic Painting Workshop. O’Reilly has been a working artist for more than 20 years. She graduated with a BA from St. Joseph’s University followed by post-graduate study towards an MFA at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. This two-day course offers participants the opportunity to enhance their painting style with new techniques and palette color choices. The costumed model adds an inherent drama to the pose, and tools such as palette knifes and rags are encouraged. Abstract as well as realist approaches will be discussed. A group critique at the end of the second session will offer valuable feedback from the participants. O’Reilly’s paintings span a range between extreme detail and whimsy; with a special focus o how light turns everyday images into emotional vistas.
