Exhibition Opportunities at UCALThe University City Arts League is a nonprofit organization dedicated to education and cultural enrichment in the arts. The gallery at UCAL reserves between two and four months per year for in-house exhibitions, and is open to submissions from artists and curatorial proposals during the remaining months.Mission StatementThe University City Arts League Gallery (UCAL) exhibits emerging and established artists to inspire, educate and engage the West Philadelphia community in the visual arts. The UCAL Gallery provides a contemporary exhibition space for regional artists, striving to be a cultural gathering place and active participant in the Philadelphia arts network.Artist Submission GuidelinesThe UCAL Gallery Committee welcomes submissions year-round from artists interested in presenting an exhibition of their work. The selection committee meets twice a year to select artists for exhibition. The deadlines for semiannual meetings in 2012 are May 15 and September 15. Every proposal is reviewed equally.The Gallery Committee reviews submissions projected onto a screen; keep this in mind when formatting images for submission. The preferred format for images is jpeg, and for documents is pdf. Please follow these guidelines for submitting your work. Mail or drop off a CD with the following:
