The Obama Connection
Leslie Esdaile Banks. Name sound familiar? How about her image? Both were seen all over the world this week when she introduced President Obama at an appearance at Arcadia University. Leslie, a local resident is a former board member of the Arts League where she can currently be found taking belly dance classes. She has also taken yoga and dance. Leslie is also the author of a series of novels called The Vampire Huntress. How did this dream come to be? Leslie had written a note to the President endorsing his health care reform initiative. Not long afterwards the phone rang and it was the White House asking if she would introduce the President. And the rest, as they say, is history. Congratulations, Leslie. We're proud of you.
