Every dollar helps us to keep offering all our wonderful programs. However, we still fund most of our work through a combination of membership dues and course fees, and that's where your support is critical. Your membership contributions, volunteer efforts, and participation in classes and other activities make it possible for the Arts League to sustain its role in University City as the community grows ever more attractive to newcomers.

Become a member.
Arts League membership entitles you to discounts on all classes and workshops, invitations to exhibit openings and performances, announcements about our popular bus trips to cultural events in New York and Washingtion, DC., and member discounts at partnering neighborhood organizations like International House and Curio Theater. With some membership categories, tickets to the preview dinner before the annual auction and discounts on exhibit purchases are included as well. Donate items or services, socialize with friends and neighbors at the preview dinner, and bid for services and treasures, including the valuable Oriental rugs that have become an Arts League Auction trademark.Participate in classes and workshops.
For 40 years, thousands of people of all ages have been coming to study painting, drawing, photography, quilting, pottery, stained glass, music, dance, drama, screenwriting and languages, to name just a few of the many courses offered during each of six annual sessions.Attend exhibits and participate in special events.
The Arts League displays the work of emerging and local artists in its lovely gallery at 4226 Spruce Street. Exhibit openings, tango and Latin dance parties, performances and bus trips to regional cultural events are some of the unique special events you may enjoy.Support the children's scholarship fund.
The Bateman Fund, a scholarship fund for neighborhood children, makes it possible for a child to experience the delight of painting, drawing, dance, or another of the classes offered for tots to teens!
