Spiral Q Puppet Theater and the Arts League have put together an exciting program in which students will explore parade arts inspired by the animal kingdom. A creative force in the city of Philadelphia, Spiral Q is known for its colorful community-focused parades that feature larger-than-life puppets. Campers will have opportunities to make musical instruments from found objects, parade flags, and giant puppets.

The camp will take place at the Arts League, 4226 Spruce St. in West Philadelphia. Children will also learn from Philadelphia Zoo educator Jack Kohler, whose regular visits will include live animal demonstrations. Trips to the Zoo and the swimming pool will also be a part of the program. The summer will culminate in a camp parade featuring campers' zany zoological creations from all three sessions.

We invite you to enroll your children in one or more of our three sessions. The camp will run from 9 am to 3:30 pm each weekday; extended hours are available in the morning and afternoon for an additional fee. Lunch is also available at no cost. A schedule for the sessions, including themes and activities, is attached. Full tuition is $295 weekly; however, our goal is to include the widest possible pool of campers. To that end Spiral Q and the Arts League are working to secure resources for a limited number of need-based scholarships which will be provided on a first come first serve basis.
