The Arts League is offering the Animal Art Adventure Summer camp again this year. We will again be working with the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School to give kids another year of hands-on animal and art experience. We will have a similar format this year but with some different subject areas--for example we hope to include a session on microscopic animals. Please check out what the kids did last year in in Summer Camp 2006.

The dates of the camp will be July 9-13th and July 16th-20th. The hours are 9am-4pm. The cost is $200 per week with an additional charge of $30 per week for aftercare 4-5pm. The camp is for children in grades 1-4.

We will be offering 10 scholarships this year, some full, some partial. If you would like to apply for one of these scholarships, please have your child draw a picture of his/her favorite animal and have your child write a paragraph about why he/she would like to come to our camp this year. Please also include evidence of household income. Preferences will be given to city residents of greatest need and those who have not had scholarship money from UCAL in the last 12 months. Deadline for scholarship applications will be April 23, 2007. Recipients will be notified shortly thereafter.

The remaining 15 (non-scholarship) places will be given on a 'first-pay-first-get' basis. Please contact us at the UCAL office to reserve a place for your child.
